Me and a few others are hoping to do 4 of these. Link I didnt get a chance to do any last year but have done a few in the past, very good stuff. Thinking about doing them on the Single Speed.

On the Official Page of Team Seagal you will find a link to the New East Coast Syndicate. The gentleman whose blog this is does a lot of the NUE. He got 4th in masters for the series, on a single speed. His name is C-Dubbs. He is a swell dude, much like yourself. I'll have him drop you a line or two.
DR

PS. He also did the Baja Epic on a singlespeed, complete with flask cage.

Dwayne,

The good Doctor from Sedona mentioned to me that you were considering. Did the series 2 years ago as a master but on gears. Is a good time, met up with Team Seagal at Mohican 100. I am a East Coast guy so I did the Cohutta (real fast course), Mohican, Wilderness 101 (have a soft spot for this one and am prepping for my 8th straight) and the Shenadoah 100 (ideal for a single with 14000' of climbing. Good luck.

Oh yeah saw you are a jumper as well. Used to do it a lot, had the AFF rating etc and ended it after about 1500 jumps. What discipline you into?

Right on!
We'll be with you at the Mohican and Lumberjack.

@trail monster, looks like good stuff! Doctor good to hear from you! C-Dubbs jumping was awesome! What is the Mohican like on a single speed? Thanks for the info. Todd I think this is going to be a fun year! What is your guys plan for Syllamo 24?

Hey Dwayne-I'm reading this book called "Born to Run" and there is a quote in there that I thought you would like: "Make Friends with Pain and You Will Never be Alone."--Ken Chlouber, founder of the Leadville Trail 100

That's an excellent book; tells a great story and also gives a lot of quality info related to barefoot running.

I am going to have to read that book, sounds good. Barefoot running just seems hardcore!
